MVAA Boys Lacrosse is the recreational lacrosse program offered for those in the Middletown and Myersville communities. We offer instructional, recreational programs for boys in grades 1st through 8 th grade. All MVAA boys lacrosse coaches have background checks and are USA Lacrosse certified. Boy’s lacrosse teams will play in the Western Maryland Lacrosse (WMDLAX) league for the Spring season.
For players in Kindergarten, MVAA offers an in-house clinic to teach the fundamentals of boys lacrosse. In-house Players will meet twice a week for practices and when possible, there will be scrimmages with other local boy’s lacrosse in-house programs.

League Play
WMDLAX offers boys lacrosse leagues based on grade groupings:
- 1st-2nd
- 3rd and 4th
- 5th and 6th
- 7th and 8th
For boys 3rd through 8th grade, WMDLAX offers a Competitive and Developmental divisions based on number of teams registering and skill level. Competitive teams will play for standings to determine division champion and for the end of season tournament seedings. Developmental teams will also play for standings to determine division champions but will instead play in a play day style format (2 or more games) matched against similarly skilled opponents on the weekend of the end of season tournaments.
The season consists of 8 to 10 regular season game, scheduled primarily on Saturdays, and an end of season tournament. Practice will begin in mid to late March based on weather and field availability, games will begin in April running through the end of May. Game schedules will be available in the last week of March.
Tryouts/Evaluations MVAA Lacrosse does not currently hold try-outs/evaluations.
Practice
Boys’ 1st through 8th grade teams will practice a minimum of 2 evenings a week. Practices begin in March, weather permitting. The in-house program will practice 1 or 2 nights a week, based on the coach's discretion.
Practice nights, locations and times are at the head coach’s discretion, but usually last 2 hours, and are usually held between the hours of 5pm and 9pm. The amount of daylight in the beginning of the season will play a part in some practice schedules.

- Athletic cup (not required for in-house)
- Mouth guard
- Cleats
Where possible, MVAA offers an equipment rental program which includes a helmet, shoulder pads, arm pads and gloves at no cost to the player. Please contact the program Director for more information.
