MVAA Girls Lacrosse is the rec program offered for those in the Middletown and Myersville communities. We offer instructional, recreational programs for girls in grades K through 8th grade and more competitive team play for ages 9 to 14. Head coaches have been trained in the Positive Coaching Alliance and are US Lacrosse Level 1 certified. All coaches are also concussion certified.

Overview

Ages

Girls lacrosse teams are based on grade groupings:

  • K-2nd
  • 3rd and 4th
  • 5th and 6th
  • 7th and 8th

The season runs from Mid-March through the end of May/early June.

Practice

Girls teams will practice a minimum of 2 evenings a week. Practice nights, locations and times are at the head coach’s discretion and field availability. Practices usually last 2 hours and are typically held between the hours of 5pm and 8pm. Due to the lack of daylight in the beginning of the season, some practice schedules and time will be adjusted in the first few weeks of the season.

Equipment

Required:

  • Lacrosse stick (Girls Lacrosse Stick, differs from a boys stick)
  • SEI Certified Girls Lacrosse Goggles
  • Mouth guard

Recommended:

  • Cleats
